It’s the week of Valentine’s Day and everyone deserves to feel sexy.
Helping Londoners embrace their seductive side is the lingerie boutique Playful Promises. And after seeing this London-based brand’s latest collection, it’s no surprise their products are regularly featured on the pages of Glamour, Cosmo, and Elle.
Started seven-years-ago by the boutique’s designer Emma, all of the pieces are developed with three things in mind:
- A woman should feel sexy and confident wearing it.
- A woman should look desirable wearing it.
- It should be something she wants wearing.
Prior to chatting with Emma, Hector – my partner in crime and photographer – and I had a chance to view the latest collection during an outdoor fashion show. With ice covering Boxpark’s wooden terrace and a brisk 34-degree wind cutting through London’s East End, Saturday’s models were very brave for battling the elements.
Fire eating might sound like a crazy idea, but with the combined wind and temperature, we don’t blame her. (FYI – She was able to do this multiple times.)
Following the show, Hector and I debated whether this was a seductive act or a way of keeping warm. Regardless, we were impressed.
Hector’s never really been into blondes but I think he was starting to change his opinion during Saturday’s show.
These fun and quirky pieces combine vintage styles with modern patterns and cuts.
Maybe not the best choice for a board meeting, but we’re fans of this stunning red and black combination and hourglass figure provided by the corset.
Hailing from the era of Mad Men, this black ribbed dress is another great example of how Emma gives a classic look new life.
Inherently tied to sexiness are confidence, fun, and playfulness. This colorful matching bra and panties set could make any woman feel sexy.
Emma’s inspiration comes from a variety of places, including her personal life in the bedroom.
